Ariana Figueroa [🇵🇷Puerto Rico]
Entre el impulso y la quietud
______
Ariana’s practice centers on the body as a space of connection, listening, and inquiry. Working through improvisation and instinct-driven movement, she investigates physical presence, shared weight, and attentiveness as compositional tools. She is interested in processes that privilege risk, sensation, and transformation over fixed form, allowing the body to generate its own logic in relation to space and time.
Ariana is a contemporary dance artist holding a Bachelor’s degree in Dance from Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in Puerto Rico. Her training expanded through participation in the Professional Workshop of Andanza Puerto Rico, with the company United We Dance in London, and through her involvement in the Revés platform in Costa Rica. She participated in ATLAS Puerto Rico in 2024 and 2025, as well as in the Dance City Festival in Detroit (2025).
